This training seminar will present an overview of the growing problem of sexual predators targeting children on the Internet. The student will be provided with a fundamental understanding, information and skills required to "surf the Internet." In addition, the methodologies employed by the child molester in the seduction and luring of children will be identified and discussed. Lastly a visual description of child sex chat rooms, child erotica, child pornography and law enforcements reactive or proactive responses to these cases will be illustrated.

PHYSICAL AND NEGLECT CHILD ABUSE INJURY RECONSTRUCTION TECHNIQUES
This seminar will focus on non-accidental injuries on children and will emphasize the specific techniques that can be used by the investigator in the assessment, investigation and reconstruction of cases involving soft tissue injuries such as bruises, lacerations and burns. In addition, the various weapons utilized by the offender in child abuse situations will also be identified and discussed. The seminar will also address the circumstances and evaluation of deprived and neglected children. Lastly, the curriculum offers case illustrations that encourage hands on participation by the student.

This powerful, victim oriented seminar will be divided into two training modules: Techniques for Interviewing the Abused Child and Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Investigative Techniques. The focus of the training will be developing and then utilizing the "Team" approach to the identification, assessment, investigation, prosecution and treatment of child abuse allegations.
